Dr. Fred Scott is an accomplished Licensed Professional Counselor with years of experience in the mental health field. His expertise lies in utilizing solution-focused brief therapy, a unique approach that emphasizes client collaboration and prompt problem-solving. Dr. Scott offers a range of virtual therapy services, encompassing individual sessions for both new and existing patients. He also provides specialized virtual couples therapy, allowing couples to access professional support from the comfort of their own homes. From the outset of his relationship with a patient, Dr. Scott emphasizes defining the optimal outcome of therapy and actively devises a plan to achieve it by harnessing resources, leveraging personal history, and forecasting future scenarios. Each session thereafter focuses on fine-tuning this approach and maintaining the progress achieved. Dr. Scott's patient care style is characterized by collaboration, proactivity and a future-oriented perspective. He believes in the power of therapy to not only resolve existing issues but also to equip individuals and couples with the tools they need to navigate future challenges confidently and effectively. His keen attention to individual needs and circumstances allows him to provide personalized care tailored to each patient's journey.

Angelica Scott is the Office Manager and Registered Nurse (RN) currently at Black Excellence and Mental Health. RN Scott has worked in several aspects of the mental health field since 2011. She has experience with working in the following areas, intensive in-home, mental health skill building, therapeutic day treatment, inpatient acute hospitalizations, adolescent residential treatment. RN Scott has also worked in the intellectual and developmental disabilities area working directly with group homes, day support and in-home support services. RN Scott received her license in 2019 and her BSN in 2021. RN Scott has worked as a nurse manager in the mental health field and currently works at the Hampton VA Medical Center supporting veterans with serious mental illnesses. 
 
RN Scott loves giving back to her community rather it’s connected to an organization or independently. RN Scott is certified to provide 32-hour medication administration training along with Adult and Child First Aid/ CPR/AED training.  RN Scott brings the compassion, management experience and creativity that Black Excellence and Mental Health strives to bring to the patients we service. 
 
When RN Scott is not working, she loves to spend time with her family which includes her husband, 2 young children and their family Dog. Some of favorite things to do are watching Law and Order SVU or going shopping at her favorite store Target.
